10 BookMarkable Websites for Writers and Bloggers

May 27, 2017

Dangerous is an understatement. The point is here is to write a set amount of words or write for a certain time, the twist? If you stop typing...you lose your work. This is great for speed writing, getting ideas out, writer's block, or typing up pieces of your novel. Definitely a very smart concept, now I'm not so sure how it would work for everyone but it's a neat idea!

Everyone uses PicMonkey...I use PicsArt. It's much easier to instantly save work and come back to started projects. It doesn't have quite as many features and neat fonts but you don't have the annoying premium version blocks and it accomplishes pretty much everything you need. There are some premium buyer features but they don't come as a package. I make all my blog pictures and designs through this app and it saves me so much time and worry. And no account is necessary...so no more forgotten passwords and accounts.

This is such a helpful website with stock free photos (which I use throughout my blog because I don't have a camera) They have really, really nice photos and videos and I still can't quite believe they are free. But they are...go check it out...

Struggling to find which font to use for your blog, design, or anything else? Meet Wordmark, the genius website that uploads every single existing font on your computer so you can compare them on one page. Just type in a word or phrase and scan the fonts for your favorites.

Ahh of course...who doesn't know this one. But just in case I'm giving it a thumbs up. Use it to find writing tips, ideas, and inspiration all in one place. Instead of bookmarks floating around in virtual space you have a visual board that is so much easier to access and remember. As well as making neat aesthetic collages to illustrate our books and inspire. (*loud whisper* Just remember to finish your word count goal before you log on) Yes...it is quite addictive and relaxing...so please don't allow notifs or stay logged on. See it as a sort of reward for your hard work.

These online forms are genius and awesome. Their are so many customizable templates to choose from...all the way from polls to contact forms. They are really perfect for your blog and easy and free to use.

Ok, you might ask why I'm posting this one since everyone around here seems to know what it is. Because when I came here I had absolutely no idea...and tbh I still haven't participated. But, it's a wonderful idea and I've heard as much, so get an account, comment, let's become best buddies and go to the same cabin in July. (if you don't get it, just click the website and read around.) And yes it is free...

This is actually a blog but wow she has so many beautiful give aways. From journal paper, to fonts, to hand drawn designs. If you are looking for something to use for your blog or would like to download some free fonts check her out. The giveaways always switch around so there is a lot of nice variety.

9. OTHER BLOGS.
Ok, I'm kind of cheating here (smile) but its true...so many blogs have alot of useful and helpful ideas and tips. This is why I have been so motivated and have gotten more word counts in the shortest time, because I saw that...hey, I'm not the only one. God made us to be "Sheepish" and to want to identify with people, its a natural desire, and its a good desire when it involves like minded people. I have some wonderful blogs up on my "Blog Button Page" so please go check them out.

Don't question it. As a Christian having this page open is like cool water when I'm discouraged or need encouragement. God speaks to us directly through His Word and inspires us. So I suggest when you get writer's block pull it up and spend some time in prayer and reading. After all...isn't he the creator of our hands and minds? As a side note, I also subscribe to the verse of the day and it is the best way to start my day. (hint hint)

Well that's it! I hope these pointers help you out!

And this is my prayer:
that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight,
so that you may be able to discern
what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,
filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.
