On Lies, Fear and Wild Vines

November 18, 2017

We are much more
More than the pain
That creeps up our bodies
They call us insane
Inane

But through this inevitable creeping vine
They forgot none were sane
None held the keys in their hands
And the yells and laughter that resound
in the cavernous space of your mind

Are lies
Lies you lived on
Lies you built your dreams, your future, your whole world on

Take your heart into your weak hands
Let its soft petals open
So that slowly these wild vines may grow beauty onto the surface of these walls
And leave an single empty space

Tear out from inside
The resonating lies
Your heart will be unlocked
someday...

  9. Pretty words... so pretty. These are all things I've been thinking about - Fear: I let it control in the name of caution, and it won. God says to trust Him, not the fear. Maybe that's the only way to stop our fears from becoming realities? Loss: it happens to all of us, but at first it always feels UNIQUE TO ME. It's not. It's OK to grieve... then replace that loss with actions that help others. Eventually you may gain more. Empty feelings are just another sort of feelings... where you feel dark, alone, depressed. This too shall pass with God :D

  10. Thank you for the encouragement! Believing lies is something I definitely struggle with. I love the verse you included! Even though I struggle, the Lord is always there to welcome me back to Him. Love it!
